AI Regulation: understanding the challenges and opportunities

Résumé : Artificial Intelligence is a buzzword that comes full of promises and controversies. While AI systems allow cars to park themselves without human assistance, TikTok algorithm digs so deeply in the user's preferences that it can fully learn their interests in less than 2 hours. This begs the following question: which approach should we take with AI systems? To boost the potential of AI systems and, at the same time, mitigate their associated risks, the European Union is discussing how to regulate these technologies. This presentation will focus on the concept of Artificial Intelligence, its challenges and opportunities, as well as the proposed AI Regulation.
